Some folks ask me where I get such a great attitude
..........
I usually tell them
that I can't remember.

August 5, 2008 |
Dates: The 2009 BransonGoers Reunion
dates are Friday, June 12th through Sunday, June 14th.
You
are welcome to come earlier if you like. Many people will arrive on
Thursday, June 11th, to go to or meet at Lambert’s for supper around 4:30 or
so. At Lambert’s your meal
is free if you are in a wheelchair or scooter. See their website under
'Branson Links' on the left side of this page for menu, etc. They have
lots of good
food. We guarantee you won’t leave hungry!
Many will also stay until Monday (or even later) to visit longer.
Accommodations: Settle Inn: 800-677-6906 -
Group #: PP5288.
They’ll need your credit card #, but NOTHING WILL BE CHARGED UNTIL
YOU ARRIVE. PLEASE… make your reservations now!
Rooms have been set aside for us (including all of their
handicap rooms!).
If you have a question or problem with the hotel… please let
Kathy know! (417-336-8663) She will handle any problems.
If you need special adaptive equipment, please tell them when you make
your reservation and ask that they put it in the “comments” section.
Also, email
Kathy with your needs. Remember: No hotel
can provide every piece of adaptive equipment that every customer might
need. If they don’t have it, you have 3 other choices:
1. Bring your own.
2. Let Kathy know and she'll see if anyone
has it and is willing to bring it and allow you to use it.
Incidentally, we will need some power chairs for the weekend. If
you have one you’re willing to bring and loan for the weekend, please let
Kathy know.
3. You can rent it locally. MediTech of Branson
(417-334-4272) is a medical supply house in Branson. They rent
medical equipment and will deliver and pick it up at the hotel.
Again, please let Kathy so she can keep tabs on it for you.
Cost: Rooms: ±$62/night (including tax). Up to
4 people per room at no additional cost.
Registration Fee: $45 per person: includes lunch and supper on Friday, Saturday and Sunday.
Also includes soft drinks,
bottled water and snacks which will be in the Hospitality Room all weekend.
Our Polio Stories book (bring yours from last year to be updated;
newcomers only will receive a complete new book); VCR or CD of reunion;
any other miscellaneous charges.
Shirts, caps and tote bags:
Color: green
T-shirts (any size I can get): $10 each
Caps: $5 each
Golf/polo shirts: $12 each
Tote bags (18x16x4¼ deep with 28” handles): $7 each
The logo on the shirts, caps, and bags is the same one as
on this website in the upper left corner (non-animated of
course).
UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE...
By April 1st, 2009 please submit your order for shirts,
caps
and totes to Toni Fenner.
By May 5th, 2009 mail your money for your
shirt, cap and tote order to:
Linda DeRyke
800 Lost Tree Dr.
Apt. #11
Branson, MO 65616
If something changes and you can’t come, everything you
ordered will be mailed to you and the remaining money will be
refunded to you.
Activities:
The Eddingtons plan to book the Excalibur Room on the the same
dates as our reunion. Along with the Eddingtons will be Joie
Christensen, Brian Keith Pendergrass and Miss Keely. They
are the same Gospel singers that were at the Settle Inn in 2008.
Plan on having a great time listening to some of the best Gospel
music and singing in the area!
As over the past few years, we will again have karaoke which also
includes THE BRANSONEERS!
We bought another karaoke CD for a wider range of music and plan
to add another CD each year.
Special Dinner Gift: Everyone is
asked to bring a gift; inexpensive, used, gag gift, etc., etc. –
remember... inexpensive!
Kitchen: Pat will continue working the kitchen. I'm sure she will welcome
any help offered. If you are interested in helping Pat,
email her
here.
Book / CD / DVD / VCR / audio
book exchange: If you have any you’d like to get rid of, bring
them along!
Crafts. Etc.: If you have
crafts or other things you’d like to sell, please bring them along
also.
If you bring things to sell, please remember… many live on fixed
incomes, so you may have a better chance to sell something if it’s
priced inexpensively.
Phyllis is handling
the exchange and the crafts table. Any questions, please
contact Phyllis.
Branson Shows: If you decide you want to go to a show while your at the
reunion, the following web sites offer coupons WITHOUT Timeshare
tours:
www.sunnydayguides.com
Click on Branson on the left column and coupons along the top of
the page.
www.bestreadguide.com
Click on Branson on the map, click on the booklet cover, then on
coupons as each click takes you to a new page.
Branson also has a 2 for 1 ticket outlet that is NOT a
Timeshare. They don't have a web site. A
list of the shows they do offer will be available at the reunion.
They
do not offer tickets to the major shows such as Shoji, Andy
Williams, etc.
Feel free to email
Linda
if you have any questions regarding the Vacation Guides.
More info as we get it... So stay connected...
