I had polio in 1946 at age 5. It affect my upper body (neck, arms, back, etc.) and am looking for others who have found ways to cope with pps from the waist up.

Born in 1948, had polio around age 2 yrs, limping on the right led. I have been leading a very active life, including sports. Recently I came across an article on PPS and bought thru Amazon.com the PPS book by Julie K Silver MD. I don't have pps but I want to be prepared just in case. I am from Malaysia...and will be happy to join your network.

I got polio at the age o 4 1/2 1952, In 1991 I was dig.with post polio. My legs keep getting weaker and weaker, I can walk very short distance with a walker, otherwise I use a Ele. Wheelchair 95% of the time

I was stricken with polio at 6 monts of age. It affected my left arm and my right leg. Now 54 years later I am seeing some of the effects of having to use my other limbs so much. Good site, lots of info, hope to meet some of yu someday.

I too had polio as a 9 month old baby and was diagnoised with PPS ABOUT 6 yrs ago, and about a year ago I was also diagnosed with breast cancer. My spirits have always remained high and I thank God every day for his strength that has carried me through all my difficulties!
