I had polio at 6 months old and I am 62 on the last day of the year. I have always had polio so I think people who walk upright walk funny. I have played wheelchair basketball for 30 years. I have hunted deer, fished and shot handguns competitively. My glass has always been half full! Anyone wants to know more just holler! Launa Jones and I went to school together.

Polio 1950, 12 years old. Postpolio 1988. Look forward to learning from your articles, newsletters, and contacts. Breathing issues and scoliosis are a prime focus at this time. It's nice to find you... the Branson Goers are well thought of in the polio community.

I had Guilliam Barre at age 17 and again at 18. I have recovered for the most part but have had weakness related to this on 3 occasions. I am 1 of only 4 that had had complete recovery and then complete and repeated relapses. I worry alot about relasing again but still live a full and happy life. If I had not had polio my life may have been different so in someways I wouldn't change a thing. I work in the health field because of my health history. My clients love me because I know better then most what their life is like. Good will and health to all of you!!!

Evidently, there's been a glitch in the guestbook for quite some time now. I have finally (I hope) gotten it corrected (and went ahead and upgraded to a newer version). Please feel free to repost any comments you had in the old guestbook (I lost all the contents) or post new comments as you like. I hope you enjoy the site since I gto all the pages to look the same (well.. almost)!

Don
